I love the BK 109 brush but I know sometimes we want an alternative. Here’s a comparison of four other similarly shaped brushes and how it compares to the 109. I either purchased or received the brushes as a gift from my husband! Albeaut Multitasking Cheek: $7.50. Very affordable, though not as precise on the cut as the 109. The handle feels sturdy and because it’s so dense it feels super soft. Very similar performance to 109. However it does have a longer drying time than my other brushes due to the density. Sigma Beauty F08: $36.00 I bought this when it was selling for $25.00 before Sigma raised prices by 40-50%. Also very similar to the 109, you just get less pressure on the face because it’s got a more flat profile. Super soft bristles but more expensive than the 109. elf Stain and Tint Brush: $5.00 I had really high hopes for this and though an admirable attempt I do think it’s not quite as dense and the bristles splay a bit more so it’s not as effective at blending out cream products as the BK, Albeaut, and Sigma are but if you don’t mind a little more effort it’s worth a try for only $5.00! Albeaut Angled Cheek Brush. $7.00 Not that similar, it is angled but the brush is much bigger and more airy. It’s not as dense and more floppy so I would say it’s good for a lighter cream coverage or for powder products.
