Holy. First time seeing it with 100 doors example. Makes so much sense. I remember struggling with this freaking problem

Removing a random door it wouldn’t matter but removing one loser is what makes it matter

I have a Statistics degree and I still have trouble thinking about the logic of this!

It’s legitimately a trigger for me to hear someone say “it’s 50/50 now”

I love all the people arguing this guy when he literally proves it. These aren’t debatable math problems, it’s fact

The key thing is that Monty never reveals gold. So by revealing any door he ADDS information that you didn’t have b4. This is what changes the prob

I find it a crime to explain the Monty Hall problem without having GOATS behind the bad doors 😂

I feel like seeing it with 100 doors makes it clearer. I never realized before, more doors is better, you want your first door to have low percentage.

Pick right door to start + switch = trash. Pick a wrong door to start + switch = gold. Chance of picking a wrong door to start = 2/3 > 1/2 > 1/3

When we run a simulation, we can confirm that this true.

This will never make sense to me. Remove the door and it's now 50/50. Previous parameters shouldn't affect current probability.

No. Each door has a 1% chance of gold. Removing 98 resets your odds. The two 1% doors now are both 50% doors.

So in this you are assuming that the door wasn’t removed at random?
