Ohio- I remember them doing it when I was in elementary, I never got paddled though 😅 I just googled it and they made it illegal here in 2009

We have a kid that started school with us in Massachusetts and he said his home in Oklahoma still calls and gets permission from the parents to paddle

yup! moved to Alabama and that was a form of punishment when I enrolled my kids on school.. but there was an option to opt out. which I did! ☠️
