I work at APM terminals where that ship is headed in the cranes loading and unloading those ships. It’s not overloaded just a good even load.Lol

This happens all the time in galveston bay by the ship channel. Almost launched our boat off a 5’ wave cuz we didn’t see it cruising 45mph lol

It’s pushing a hell of a lot of water but that wave is formed that way because of the depth change and contour of the bottom

Fun fact, there is actually an indicator for how “heavy” a ship is. Look up “plimsoll lines” and try to spot them on ships you see.

we were on the hook, beside middle bay lighthouse, when a car carrier ship came by. Our boat pitched 45 degrees to each side, BIG wave. Billy goat?

She’s definitely loaded heavy but not overloaded. Some of the pilots come in too fast and I think this is the case
