Air moving thru fiber devalues it’s Rvalue and basically turns it into a filter. You did good taking that out.

Maybe find a carpenter that knows how to frame a rough opening and properly install windows first, then worry about insulation

We where always thought to install Pef rod then spray with foam as the foam can suck moisture directly in

In France the norm bans expansive foam because in deforms the window... Also the foam has a shot lifespan so you are cutting corners...

before doing that you need to make the frame smaller, or add wood or something. you can't just put foam in there

Foam does not allow for expansion … windows can have trouble opening and closing properly … too stiff
