Using a pharmacological response to diagnose would be hugely unusual. The absence of mania or hypo mania would suggest unipolar depression. No?

I got worse with an anti depressant. I also got worse on lamictal, but I recently read it’s not actually meant to be used for bipolar, so who knows…
