I think Chindos living in Java speaks more Bahasa but chindos living in other parts do speak in dialect (Teochew, Hokkien, etc). Though mostly..

ini karena di Indonesia tidak boleh ada sekolah selain sekolah bahasa Indonesia, dulu 1950-an sekolah2 bahasa daerah tutup, disusul sekolah Mandarin.
