Smaller tvs can handle toggles but heavier tvs with extending brackets should catch as many studs as possible

We have plaster walls so we mounted a lumber board using a hex-head screw into the wall framing lumber first.

😅 the toggles used should be rated for the job, strap toggles are more then sufficient here, they are basically those flimsy steel studs 😅

strap toggles all day with flat mounts or metal studs. but a full motion mount being held up by just drywall and strap toggles is a recipe for bad
