Shark bite average lifespan is 25 years. Proper soldering 50-70 years. My house is 60 years all original no leaks. All copper water and sewer.

not hating buts there's only one reason solder joints leak. poor prep. take it apart and clean her good I bet there's a bald spot in there

Homeowner special. Only way to repair is sweat off and redo joint. The solder didn’t and couldn’t get in that joint. Needs to be cleaned and fluxed.

A leaking sweated joint should always be pulled apart and re-done (Cleaned, re-fluxed and re-sweated). You merely put a band-aid on it.
