HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR BI-FOLDING DOORS for less than $70!!๐Ÿ˜ฑ step by step tutorial ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ LIKE + SAVE this post for future reference! Youโ€™ll need: - trim ( I used 11/16โ€ x 5/16โ€ x 8โ€™) - mitre shears - nail gun - nails - caulking - wood filler - hardboard - primer - paint (I used Jogging Path- eggshell finish) - brush - roller - measuring tape - No More Nails adhesive STEP ONE: face your doors. If you have a plain flat door you can skip this step! If you have a pre-existing design you want to cover up like I did then cut the hardboard to size and glue to the face of your door using No More Nails. Let dry. STEP TWO: prime + first coat of paint. I like to prime and paint the first coat of paint before adding the trim (itโ€™s easier to roll the paint on the door without the trim in the way) STEP THREE: measure and cut your trim. I used a 2โ€ spacer between the top, bottom and sides of the doors. I cut all my corners at a 45-degree angle. STEP FOUR: attach the moulding to door. I worked with one frame at a time. Using my nail gun I nailed each piece to the door making sure they were level as I went. STEP FIVE: caulk and fill holes. after I had all of the moulding attached in place, I caulked and filled all of the holes with wood filler. Let dry. STEP SIX: paint the trim. Apply a coat of paint to the trim and blend in using a roller. want even more details on this project? check out my Instagram โ€œcloset doorโ€ highlight for the entire process, and links to all the products I used! follow @sagephillipshome for diys, home decor and styling inspo! โ€ข โ€ข โ€ข #bifolddoors #homedecor #organicmodern #homedecoration #entrywayinspo #furnituremakeover #frontdoor #diyhomeimprovement #simplediy #closetdoors #entryway #affordablehomedecor #mydiymydecor #diyhome #diyhomedecor #DIY
