my wool rug I will toss in a large machine at the launders on a cold wash with vinegar and bakin soda. i let it air dry outside. comes out perfect. It doesnt have a stuff backing tho.

I dropped a box of eggs on a wool carpet. Used carpet shampoo machine then wool washing clothes detergent. The carpet now smells and still wet. Any advice please?

Great idea. I use Lambland or Woolskin fleece wash for natural fibres but it’s expensive although you get a few washes. Wil try your method

If you live where it's snow in freezing put it upside down in the snow for a few hours. It is surprisingly effective
