Have you tried a spillnot cup holder? Allow the cup to swing a bit but not spill due to gravity! Give it a google, may help 🙂

As a sighted person we look at the liquid to make sure it doesn't spill. I'm sure we'd be the same if we weren't looking at what we were holding.
