TECHNIQUE EXECUTION: Here are 4 ways of executing the right body kick. Each one has a time and a place of when to use it. STEP: This is the common execution for this kick. The step allows you to travel distance if your opponent is moving, it also means you can generate more power as you’ll be stepping across. Remember full force of your kick is directly in front of you, so by stepping across means you cut through the opponent more with the kick. ⁣⁣⁣ BOUNCE: This one is used the generate more power and is often executed when the opponent is off balance. Like when you’ve pushed them back, caught the leg and knocked them in to the ropes or hit them with a couple of hard shots to wobble them. Bouncing off the floor means you’re able to put more force behind the kick making it very hurtful shot. ⁣⁣⁣ OFF THE SPOT: This kick is used as a fast sharp scoring shot for when both you and your opponent are stationary. Not stepping before the kick means that it’s harder to see coming, it just won’t generate as much power as the step or bounce kick. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ SLIDE: This is used when your opponent steps back away from your kick.
