I just bought a 2021 road glide special. what is the point of the vents next to the headlight? doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the fairing?

Love my 19 RG. But that head light is 750 bucks to replace and I've had my air vents fixed several times cuz they jamb open. Still love it though.
