I asked my great great uncle who is in his 80s about his childhood and he told me about the time he nailed his boots to his roller skates 😂

This is so true. My Daddy and his Mum told great stories. My mum and her mum never told us anything about their lives. Which makes me sad.

I had a thing with my grandma where I recorded a lot of her stories (she knew I was doing it) but we never got to do all of it. She’s gone now

My gran used to tell me stories of her childhood and ww1 in England. She was born in 1906 and lived to 99. How I miss her stories🥰

We had a book that had these little prompts in it that we asked my grandfather and wrote down bits of his life. It's really lovely to reread now.

I made a documentary about my mom some years back. I'm so glad I did—she died last month. Those memories would have all been lost had I not.
