Good points! I think for people without a uterus, the heart attack is a good comparison. But I've had 4 births, all without pain meds and my 1/2

i had a heart attack and period pain is very different. i mistook it for indigestion and a tweaked muscle.

Yep always had painful periods, got up to 9cm in labour with no pain relief (10cm is fully dilated). It’s definitely very similar.
