Stick the brush and rollers in separate plastic bags with air released out of them - then reuse the next day - then throw the roller away when done

I don’t know about the fabric softener. I’d worry that it would make the bristles mush and brush wouldn’t keep it’s shape.

I never wash out my roller!!! When you paint after your done put the roller and tray in a plastic bag (tight) and it will be fine for four hours.

So aren’t rollers MEANT to be one time use- or at best cover with cling wrap to use the next day/a few hours later- then toss!
