it drys out the paint in the can faster. shorting the life of the paint.

I was taught that back in wood shop in 1968! it doesn't make the paint dry out faster ! the lid is sealed just like new

It allows the liquid to drain after lid is on…(which would let air in) and allows the can to somehow seal when flipped over…???

If you use a poxy paint Or a hardener paint you have to use the same day within hours. Those paints you want to wear gloves .

we use this method for our contact cement. works like a charm with less mess.

this let's air in and dry out the paint over time. just take a brush and wipe away and use the paint/varnish.

it shortens the lifespan of paint, etc. don't get me wrong it works but at the end of the day just wipe it with a cloth or fyour finger 😅

I use a screwdriver and it works perfectly. A painter showed me that back in the early 70' when he was painting my parents house...still do it today
