we really need to talk. you're flirting with an idea to increase fuel economy 10 fold. well like 5 fold but yeah.

Honestly I like that idea better. As a farmer all I would need is to have brackets built in the engine compartment and this kit dropped in.

what you need to do is turn the diff and top drive it with 1 electric motor. you loose too much power on rotating mass.

I feel like the electric motor spinning the driveline with factory axles in place would make conversions way easier

What do you think the cost difference between a truck with one motor and a driveshaft vs a truck with 4or 6 motors powering the wheel’s?

Make both options, then people can convert using old rearends and later upgrade to electric axles if they want

and when you get a motor on each hub couldn't you help with steering by giving the outside wheels more rpm

way easier to convince truckers/companies to pay for a hybrid swap when the cost is easier to swallow. slightly less efficient, much more effective

I totally get individual electric hubs are better, but I think this makes way more sense for a "quick" conversation kit!

the other advantage would be at higher RPM is better cooling on the motor and also less stress on the internal wiring.
