As a nurse it’s 100% true. The hair is there to protect from bacteria frequent uti d/t shaving , front to back is self explanatory.

I had “IC” for two years… it was a chronic embedded UTI caused by Lyme disease. Would really encourage everyone suffering to look into this! Hugs.

The Urologist who discovered this condition, Dr. Karen Whitmore wrote a book on it. She is from Philly. I saw her I'm the 90s for IS
