If you’re in a season where your spiritual gifts are asking to be expressed, pero may part sa’yo na natatakot, nagguilty, or constantly questioning yourself because of religious trauma… “Baka mali ’to.” “Baka kasalanan ’to.” “Baka kailangan kong bumalik kay God.” “Baka napapalayo na ako sa Diyos because I’m exploring spirituality.” This is for you. 🥹✨ Because I’ve been there… once, when dogma entered my life because I went along with and surrounded myself with the wrong people. And one of the biggest realizations I had along my own spiritual journey was this: I never actually wanted to disconnect from God. I wanted to disconnect from the fear, guilt, shame, and conditioning that had been attached to my understanding of God. There’s a difference. As my spiritual path expanded and I encountered different traditions, archetypes, deities, energies, and systems, I eventually realized something very personal to me: I didn’t feel the need to choose a deity as the highest authority of my spiritual practice. I chose to connect directly to God, Source, the Divine, the Creator, whatever language resonates with you for that Highest Intelligence from which everything ultimately comes. That became my center. It doesn’t mean I disrespect deities, spiritual traditions, or the sacred figures other people work with. I can study them, honor their symbolism, understand their archetypes, and respect the cultures and traditions they come from. But for me, my ultimate devotion and connection remains with Source. And surprisingly, that helped heal a huge part of my religious trauma. Because I realized that exploring my spiritual gifts did not require me to abandon God. What I had to abandon was my fear-based relationship with God. Yung version of spirituality where every question makes you feel sinful. Every intuitive experience makes you afraid. Every spiritual gift makes you wonder if something is wrong with you. Every path outside what you were taught automatically becomes “evil.” Sometimes, religious trauma makes us confuse fear with faith. Kaya kapag lumalawak na consciousness mo, instead of feeling curious, you feel guilty. Instead of discerning, you panic. Instead of asking: “Does this bring me closer to love, truth, integrity, and God?” Ang tanong agad natin: “Mapaparusahan ba ako?” And that’s something worth healing. You are allowed to question. You are allowed to discern. You are allowed to understand and express your spiritual gifts. You are allowed to rebuild your relationship with God without recreating the same fear that wounded you in the first place. For me, spirituality eventually became less about choosing between religion, deities, or spiritual systems… and more about remembering the Source behind all things. Because my path did not lead me away from God. It led me toward a relationship with God that was finally mine. ✨ #SpiritualAwakening #religioustrauma #fyp #spirituality #spiritualtiktok
