Also try smaller syringes if it’s giving you trouble, sometimes a 10cc gives you nothing but a 3cc flows beautifully

In some places only ICU is allowed to draw bld from pivs (exception is at time of insertion)

Use a 3 cc syringe to draw back. If you can’t get it with a 3 cc, it ain’t happening.
