Rode goes Micro 👉👈 This is the Rode Wireless Micro and it’s got most of the features you’ve come to love about your wireless go system, in a much more compact package. It doesn’t offer 32-bit float or local recording, which is a bummer, but with a size this small, it is understandable. It’s specifically designed for smartphones and aimed toward on-the-go content creation. You can get it in usb C and lightning variants as well as black and white colorways. Probably the best feature, other than being tiny, is the Intelligent GainAssist - which will automatically adjust levels, in response to environment and subject volume. In my experience so far, it works really well. There are obviously a LOT of wireless mics on the market, but I think where these stand out is in build quality - for real, compared to many of the other mics in this category and price point, these are build as well as (if not better) than the Rode Wireless Pro system, and just feel like a really nicely deigned and manufactured product. They’re rated to operate on 7 hrs per charge, or 21 hours total with the charging case.
