tell me about the hay. I've grown potato in hay... but for a raised bed wouldn't all that hay create a huge anaerobic void and just create mold??

My neighbor grows sunflowers, pumpkin/ and corn in hay.. no dirt. Its pretty amazing. I never knew you could.

that's absolutely the best way... holds moisture, fertilizer. degrades slowly etc... 1000 times better than leaves and sticks etc
