No way i know. I have done both and this quicker. you cant put a rapid setting grout through a gun the mix consistency would be wrong for it

Good man. yes dont mix for more than 3mins. 1 bag at a time to get used to it. get a neneoprene squeegee for moving it and removing. keep it damp
