PCT’s are licensed CNA’s are not licensed either. They are certified. There’s a difference in certified and license.

Here in McAllen Texas I just completed my course as a CNA I have my State Exam next week but we are not allowed to draw blood remove or insert catheters only vitals and ADL but they pay the same 😏

CNA is not a license. Neither is PCT. They’re both certifications. In order for you to practice in a state other than yours, you must retest.

I think the confusion is that certain places use CNA PCT&PCA interchangeably where Im from they’re the same but I know it’s different in other places

in Texas you don’t need to I’m a medsurg PCT and never took or had to take a CNA course it was optional you just need BLS and HS Diploma
