I love this idea! Could you do a video of what exactly you do?!

good tip! I've found 2 1/4" works for a number of designs, like shaker doors for eg.

Could you show a completed project using the laminated 1x3s? Hard to tell what the look is from just the small piece shown in this video.

Poplar is also a great option for this

That's cool, 2 1//4" is my measurement either. I use or for my frame for TV stands, tables, and small cabinets for the barn look.

That’s a great idea, I’ve been wanting to build a farmhouse style table but don’t like the 4x4 look. Thanks.

Looks gd, laminated pieces are way more stable long term than a dimensional board as well! Great idea

now you're left with soft wood, that is prone to warp. if bought from big hardware stores. pine is not the best for furniture

I hate when people use 2x4's, the rounded ends look like garbage. I'd rather use a 2x6 and cut off the rounded ends if I needed to keep it cheap.

getting away from nominally sized lumber will do so much for your work. there's something about seeing wood that is 3/8 or 2 1/2 instead of the usual

not knocking, looks good. lumber from a mill is lot less than a store. also have the option of 4/4 to 12/4 no laminating
