as for evidence what i’ve found is that they discovered a 36 foot long (11m) rudder post discovered in nanjing, aswell as detailed literary & historical records “The Ming Shi records the largest ships as 44 zhang long and 18 zhang wide (approximately 400–450 feet)” which is debated by historians although there is archaeological evidence of shipyards suggesting simultaneous massive multi vessel shipbuilding capabilities

There’s a finite size a wooden ship can be before it’s own size / weight makes it unstable. These ships are far beyond that size so it seems unlikely.
