Wow so informative. Cold water makes hot asphalt “less hot”. You could actually spread a little sand on it to to blend any blemishes

Fun fact cal trans does not let contractors use diesel on their tools anymore they have to use a citric degreaser rather so it does not pollute lmao

in a residential area u might get away w/ a plate tamper. We use it for road cuts but u would be surprised how much more force even a small roller has

It helps cool it off but there are a lot of places that won’t let you spray water and always diesel your tools down

I work with asphalt personally too much water can bubble and actually cause cracking you need to let it cool itself don’t Over pack it

I think it cools it down so It is less pliable. It actually takes about 60 days to cure out

Use something other than diesel, it’s not good for asphalt or enjoyment. We used stuff called breakaway

I usually double cut the asphalt.. makes the edge cleaner and don't beak out alot of asphalt.. just what I do
