Why are you slating left to right? If you’re right handed it’s much easier/quicker to go from right to left. Also is the batten gauge too small?

I'm not familiar with the lingo, does composite mean plastic? Reckon these will last longer than the normal tarry, gritty roof shingles?

Make a little box that sits between the battens put your nails in it a lot handier than reaching into naillbag

gauge wrong you got 4 nails through every slate, be tricky changing any broken slates!
