Is the rub buff wax based? If it is, the poly you sprayed on will peel off eventually. I’m going to try it but with spray paint for metal.

I did. It’s been six months. So far so good. But I sanded first, used a similar spray paint, then rub n buffed.

Helpful tip, rub and buff comes off of anything with oil. any type of oil will do, olive, cooking, coconut. It just wipes right off.
