He keeps insisting that in his family, no one has ever had an albino child, so the "fault" must be mine. But his younger cousin, who is close to me, told me that their great-great-grandfather was an albino. Still, my husband refused to accept that the gene could have come from his side. Things got worse after the birth of our last daughter. On the very day I delivered her, he abandoned me at the hospital and even refused to pay the bills. It was my family that came to my rescue. Although they advised me not to return to him, I still went back because of the love I had for him. But life with him only became more miserable. He had stopped me from working despite my being a graduate, so l had to depend on him for everything. He would stay out for days, sometimes a week, not caring whether I or the children had eaten. When my youngest was 1 year and 7 months old, he finally moved out completely to live with his girlfriend. He only returned occasionally to pick up documents or clothes. Eventually, I moved back to my parents' home, hoping he would notice my absence and come for us. Instead, he was happy and moved his girlfriend into our matrimonial home. While running my tomato business, I had a regular customer, a bachelor. Over time, we became close. He later asked me out, but I held back at first, still hoping my husband would come back for me. When it became clear that he would not, I gave this man a chance. He turned out to be very loving and caring. We became intimate, and I got pregnant. Around the same time, I learned that my husband's girlfriend was also pregnant about four months ahead of me. Surprisingly, she gave birth to an albino baby girl, while I later gave birth to a healthy baby boy without albinism. The day I delivered my son, I cried so much, remembering all the insülts and pæin my husband had caused me for giving him "only albino children." When he heard of my delivery, he stormed the hospital to cause trouble, insisting the baby was his. Security had to send him out. He even reported the case, and a DNA test was ordered.
