Your weight is so spread between truck and trailer anyway with a lowboy, I do it to save tires. They roll over easy especially reverse

with that much weight I’d leave it down especially if you have to stop & get out to lower the trailer tag & swing as wide as safely possible

It's same concept as when your in a triaxle and you lift your lift axle to make turns and then drop it back down once threw the turn

Ur only going to raise it turning. It will turn easier with 2 axle. Same reason u lift 3rd axle on the truck. So it will turn easier.

same reason 3 axle trailers eat tires compared to tandem duals, constantly scrubbing the tires on tight turns. better all the way around to lift 3rd

Keep on keeping on. I never lift haven’t in 16 years but my coworker does and he breaks more often than I do

Looks like your driver knows what he is doing. I never pulled a lowboy that had a air relief for the axle in the truck.

Can I ask if your moving a lot of heavy equipment why wouldn’t you invest in a rear steer trailer where the 3, 4 or 5 axels on a trailer steer too

Your driver seems to have no problem driving in so he should just ride with all 3 axles the whole way in

Most all detach lowboy trailers the valve is on the trailer and not in the cab of truck

Ok here is my 2 cents for what it’s worth. Unless you have the ability to lift the rear axle from the cab of the truck.

ummm coming in your yard -- do you have a safe place to lift the trailer axel ??? looked like your on a busy street --wear or driver safety ???
