When im on set and have to do makeup in the blazing heat, we are changing outifts and there is no air flow, theres a few things i do to keep the makeup looking as fresh as possible through out the day. 1. EMBRACE THE DEW! Let the client know theyll have to embrace the DEW - but we can work that into the look. I dont use highlighters as we will be getting a natural glow from the sweat. 2. KEEP IT CREAMY! I dont use powders as these can be a nightmare to touch up if your client is hot and bothered. Creams allow you to remould and reapply. 3. SETTING SPRAYS! Use setting sprays rather then powders. my favs Charlotte tilbury and One Size setting spray. 4. TISSUES! Dab of the sweat and shine with a tissue or blotting pads rather then applying powder. 5. DONT BE AFRAID TO REMOVE AND REAPPLY! Dont try to salvage the makeup if its just over being reworked. its quicker to just remove that area and reapply. Areas like the forehead (especially if hair is out) needs alot of maintenance so if the area is kept creamy it takes no time to remove and reapply. 6. LESS IS MORE! Keep your products to a minimum - it makes it much easier to reapply and maintain. 7. HAIR BACK! Makeup lasts better in the heat if the hair is back! so advise the client if they want their makeup to last - put the hair back. the hairs oils and constantly having to push the hair away from the face will interupt the makeup.
