Plus is not like you save by not getting assemblys. in fact not many places stock shoes. if it was my trailer i would have upgraded to disk brakes😁

The assemblies are actually cheaper and they are more available then the shoes individually.

backing plates assemblies are typically cheaper if not a couple bucks more. and alot less hassle

They are convenient for sure, but those brakes are about 5 minutes each to put together. It would need to be pretty close price wise to make it worth

my local trailer store sells pre-assembled hubs with new hub, bearings, races, seals, and prepacked with grease, just put them on the spindle and go.

lifting it took you way longer than the actual job. but when you have options I prefer to sit down for brakes
