🔥 Cajun Honey Sausage & Shrimp Skewers 🔥 @Bearmountain BBQ #bearmountainbbqpartner For this cook, I used Bear Mountain BBQ’s Gourmet Blend pellets. The Gourmet Blend delivers a well-balanced sweet and smoky flavor that elevates every bite and pairs perfectly with the Cajun-seasoned shrimp, Louisiana hot links, and honey butter glaze. If you’re unable to get your hands on a bag of Bear Mountain’s Gourmet Blend, their Cherry pellets work great for this cook as well. Cherry wood provides a slightly sweeter smoke profile and helps create a beautiful deep, rich color on the shrimp and sausage. Ingredients: • 2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning • 8 Louisiana hot links, cut into ½-inch pieces Cajun Honey Butter: • ½ cup unsalted butter • ½ cup honey • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning Instructions: Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning. Cut the Louisiana hot links into ½-inch pieces. Wrap each shrimp around a piece of sausage and secure with a skewer. Mix together the butter, honey, and Cajun seasoning in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth. Smoke at 225°F using Bear Mountain BBQ Gourmet Blend pellets until the shrimp reaches 140°F internal temperature, about 30-45 minutes. During the last 10-15 minutes of cooking, baste the skewers with the Cajun honey butter every few minutes to build layers of flavor. Remove from the smoker and serve immediately. Best Wood. Best Flavor. Any Grill.
