In the UK we just roughly guess what ours come to, everyone always overestimates to be generous. Surplus goes towards the tip. Simple and less petty

This is crazy to me! In Canada, when we want the bill, the waiter asks if we want to split or not and they just have a button to print separate bills!

In NZ at restaurants, you always pay at the end at the front counter and just tell the servers what food you wanna pay for. Easy.
