put it outside on a sunny day. I've had many of basil plants from the produce section do this. I prefer to keep alive the ones from lowes.

It’s a lot of plants for one pot. Just cut back the dead, and separate into two pots.

The only way I’ve ever had success with a basil plant is by watering it from the bottom. I don’t know if the roots are just super Sensitive
