Not good for a long term hold. Archived files gets corrupted all the time and u can’t retrieve the files

This isn’t correct tbh. You’re not locking a folder at all. You’re creating an archive file. I use bitlocker to encrypt a disk for protected files.

Sir winzip is third party software you need to buy license, you can not keep file longer in free version. If version support stopes.
