no need for butter. vegetable shortening or lard is the traditional fat. also you don’t need oil on your comal. it’s better to have it dry

Tried twice. Dough always sticks to the rolling pin. No matter how much flour I put down, I can’t lift it without it tearing. 🤯 So frustrating.

Tortillas are made with lard and no oil is placed when it’s cooked . Atleast that’s how my Mexican mother has made them for over 50 years.
