The 3rd layer is a sock! They come in 1, 3, or 5 ply… they’re used to accommodate for changes in limb size (for instance swelling)! - a DPT student 😊

They’re a lot easier to put on if you bunch up all of the fabric in your hands and then pull it up! It’s also a little easier on the incision site
