6 Months Post Explant Surgery ( . ) ( . ) As part of the itty bitty boobie community, I have been embracing and loving my natural body 🌻 I’m not against plastic surgery but for me it was the right decision to remove my implants. BII (breast implant illness) was not a direct cause for me to remove them but it definetly was something I wanted to avoid happening. BII happens because of the toxins in all types of implants. Those toxins over time cause damage in the body and then symptoms start to show up in many different ways because we are all different. We don’t know how much toxic load can each body handle so some people will have symptoms and others won’t. I wanted to avoid BII and also wanted to reduce the toxins in my body because I don’t know how they will affect me over time. Overall I’m feeling amazing and confident in my body 💕 The scars are slightly fading away and in another 6 months I’m hoping they are pretty much gone. For now I’m taking care of them as directed by my surgeon. I’m using vitamin e oil every night and in the morning I put on a silicone tape over the scars that will stay on all day until night time when I put on the oil. I also massage the scar tissue when I put the oil on. If I go out in the sun for a long time, like the pool or beach, I have to put sunscreen on the scars. That’s all on care, it’s pretty easy! Just wanted to update you all, I know a few of you have been following along my health journey 🩷 #explant #explantjourney #postsurgery #postsurgeryrecovery #breastimplants
