Here are 5 of the many places to try next time you’re in Portland, Maine.   Central Provisions Central Provisions is often noted as one of the best restaurants in all of Portland, so make your reservation early. They serve up small plates with a menu that rotates regularly with seasonal dishes and lots of seafood.  Address: 414 Fore St, Portland, ME 04101  Duckfat They have both a restaurant and a smaller location at a brewery. They serve Belgian-style fries fried in (you guessed it) duck fat for an indulgent savory dish along with some unique dips like truffle ketchup. We enjoyed Duckfat’s location at Oxbow Brewing with a local brew.  Address: 43 Middle St, Portland, ME 04101  Holy Donut  I am still dreaming about these donuts. They are potato donuts that are dense, but not heavy. They aren’t too sweet and they offer loads of flavors to choose from. Get at least half a dozen! Address: 177 Commercial St., Portland, ME 04102  Mr. Tuna A food truck turned restaurant, Mr. Tuna offers very high quality sushi in a casual setting. They are known for their hand-rolls. This was one of my favorite bites in Maine.  Address: 28 Monument Sq, Portland, ME 04101  Portland Lobster Company  Visit for your quintessential lobster dining experience. It’s a casual, seaside lobster shack with live music and fast service considering the crowds that are there.
