my question is, if they're trying to replace laundry detergent, why wouldn't they do one with detergent and one with magnets, both with water?

I can't wait for someone to chuck a handful of neodymium magnets in their washing machine now. That wouldn't cause any problems at all... 😂

There could be something to magnetism here but they'd need to slap washing basin into an MRI machine to actually affect the axes of the protons

if the magnets attracted to the washer side, the abrasive action could increase, removing soil. have to be pretty strong magnets I'd think
