LATERAL RAISE TIPS ⬇️ 1.) Keep your arms as straight as is possible for your shoulder and elbow joints to still feel good. Whatever elbow angle you choose, be consistent with it from week to week. 2.) Raise the dumbbells by using your shoulders and not any other muscles, especially ones that require you to swing. The traps will help… this is 100% ok! 3.) Consider coming all the way up above your head or at least to 45° above the horizontal plane. You do not have to go to this high, but most people can tolerate it very well in their shoulders, and it provides an excellent stimulus. The idea of it being bad to go higher than parallel is almost entirely mythical. 4.) It is super important to control the eccentric on the way down as loads of growth is stimulated this way and allows you to use lighter dumbbells and not have to strain your shoulder joints as much.
