That's why I don't go to dealers or shops do the work myself and got a commercial account at the auto parts store with a very good discount.

we charge $199 for lifetime pads+labor and about $85 each rotor, so about $375 per axle. on a truck with huge rotors might be closer to $500

my experience with VW is that they vary alottttt. the tiguan can have 3 different variations of front brakes if I am not mistake. single piston.....
