What if a single protein could block weight gain — even on a high fat diet? In this conversation, Dr. Pinchas Cohen shares the early findings from research on MOTS-C that caught even his own team off guard. When they began injecting this protein into mice, they weren't sure what to expect. The results were striking. Mice fed a high fat diet showed no weight gain. And one of the most common complications of diabetes — fatty liver — was completely prevented. This is early science. But the implications are hard to ignore. If a protein can intervene at that level, it raises a much bigger question: what else might be possible when we understand the biology well enough to work with it? Tune into the full conversation, out now on all major streaming platforms.
So obsessed with this image😅 Looking at the Andromeda Galaxy with the naked eye vs. through a telescope is proof that space is wilder than we realize. Naked Eye: Under a dark sky, Andromeda looks like a faint, soft smudge of light. The amazing part is that faint cloud is actually 2.5 million light-years away, making it the most distant object you can see with human eyes alone. Telescope: Pointing a telescope at that smudge cuts through the dimness to reveal a glowing central core, dark dust lanes, and a spiral structure home to over a trillion stars. Fun fact: Andromeda actually spans about six times the width of the full Moon in our night sky. Our eyes just aren't sensitive enough to pick up its faint outer edges without optics. Which view would you rather see in person? Let me know in the comments. #camera #astrophotography #universe #Astronomy #stargazing
