If it's stiff, it's because you're using too much detergent, you're only supposed to use a couple of tablespoons. could also be your water though.

Two tips more tips are to hang the clothes inside out, so the clothes don’t fade. Also, hang the shirts upside down so the weight takes the crease out

Do not overlap. Colors can run and it takes longer to dry. Also turn the clothing inside out so that the sun does not fade it.

Here in the UK we hang out our washing everyday, just learning now its not as common in USA, sheets dried outside smell incredible 😁

adding a little less detergent will help prevent that stiffness, the stiffness is caused by excess residue. using white vinegar in place of fabric softener helps as well (clothes and the washer) and you won't smell the vinegar

We have a line hanging through our laundry room, and 9/10 times it’s faster to line dry than machine dry! Buuuut our dryer is broken and has no heat😂
