Our day began early at 5 am from Pullman on the Park, where we hopped on a bus to find the perfect launch spot. Fun fact: you can’t steer a hot air balloon! The wind completely decides the journey, making each flight unique and unpredictable. Our pilot, Steve, controlled our height by firing up hot air to rise and cooling down to descend, using windstreams to adjust direction. We took off from Bundoora, floating over Melbourne, with a stunning sunrise lighting up the city. After landing, we helped pack up the balloon like a giant sleeping bag!
