@minetfleur very kindly donated her time and skills to reward @skysponcer for donating £1000 into the GoFundMe and helping us get across the whole of the USA which ended up being far far far more expensive than was planned, but I’d like to think I learn from mistakes and I’m personally planning my run and cycle around Ireland. It’s all to promote @tourdepicnic which I’ll be announcing in more detail (once it’s been planned properly) in a few days. If anyone wants to help financially support that endeavour and donate £1000 themselves or pool in with a group of friends/ sports team/work then I’ll continue getting any tattoo you want.

I’m going to be doing something very similar to what Rory just did yesterday, so I was very happy to get involved with his event and learn a thing or two about how he put together this amazing event. As you can imagine the last day was PACKED with people and Rory was extremely busy, so the footage I got doesn’t show the grandeur of how huge and successful the walk was, and how it ended to a roaring applause. So I’ll be keeping his link in my bio until June 1st at which point I’ll be announcing the new sponsor. Who’s donating a whopping 6 figure amount of money over the course of the year. Plus even more with commission. Not set in stone just yet, but I’m gonna run and cycle around the whole of Ireland hopefully on the 13th of July because on the 13th of July 2020 I was in surgery getting my skull sawed open, so every year I choose to put my through a different kind of physical pain and mental endurance, as a reminder of how pushing yourself to the point of suffering is a gift and I came very close to losing it. We all need a good kick up the arse ever once in a while to remind ourselves that there are people in the world who’d love to be able to go to the gym and lift heavy weights, swim in the rough sea, and run in the pissing cold rain, but they physically can’t, and how sad we’d be if we couldn’t either. I truly am so happy to be home. While I was editing this video I was trying to see if having Irish background music in this would work. It didn’t really fit so i didn’t use it, but the process led me down a very emotional rabbit hole of watching Irish rugby fan’s absolutely howling The Fields of Athenry during key moments of a very famous NZ game. And funnily enough I’m on a train to the west coast to catch up to @rorybest2 who’s walking across Ireland to raise money for @cancerfundforchildren I would have been there from day 1 but I was literally on the other side of the planet at the time. I’ll try and do the whole thing next year, if it’s being done, and ye know, I’m not dead and whatnot.
